Paine Teachers enjoyed kicking off Red Ribbon Week by wearing their camouflage and camo colors!
Our students have and are working hard to meet their AR point and comprehension goals!!
Computer teacher Mrs. Long presented Paine's technology plan and information related specifically to the Technology Course of Study to her colleagues on yesterday. She did a great job of leading the charge!
Intervention this morning in Mrs. L. Smith's class was engaging and targeted to the children's academic needs!

The students wrote code to make the pictures. (You can see one of the student's pictures below as it was displayed through the projector. It looks like a peppermint.) Mrs. Long displayed each Club member's picture for their peers to view. She also displayed the code the student wrote to design that picture. Great inquisitive discussions followed.

Craft Club: Making scarecrow faces out of popsicle sticks.
Dance Club: Performing a dance to Michael Jackson's "Thriller".

Science Professional Learning
Paine Elementary teachers, Andrea Moore, Blaire Perry, Ryan Hook and Allie Aldrich led a series of professional development sessions on the new Alabama Science Standards. Day one of teacher learning focused on familiarizing themselves with the document by engaging in a scavenger hunt and day two of learning focused on unwrapping the science standards.
The teacher leaders did a great job of presenting to their peers!!
