Technology Update

Information from our Technology Department regarding email updates and upgrades:

In an effort to deliver a better email experience, we are in the process of migrating our email services from a hosted exchange environment to the cloud which will be hosted by Office 365. This will allow all end users to the following:

·         Access to 50 GB mailboxes
·         1 TB OneDrive cloud storage
·         Office Online Protection Spam Filter
·         Office 365 cloud and home download
·         99.9% uptime by Microsoft.

The migration process will not disrupt email services. However, once the process is completed, all end users will need to reset their passwords and update email settings on their mobile devices. We will create a guide to help with this process and send out a link directing all users to our technology site. The client on their computer will update automatically once it is restarted. We already have a small group in place now and we’ve tweaked all foreseen issues. This project will be completed in stages. The stages are listed as followed:

·         K, 3rd grade, 6th grade, and 9th grade will be migrated on January 27th.
·         1st grade, 4th grade, 7th grade, and 10th grade will be migrated on January 29th.
·         2nd grade, 5th grade, 8th grade, and 11th grade will be migrated on February 3rd.
·         Elective teaches, teacher aids, & 12th grade will be February 5th.
·         Substitute teachers and High school remaining  teaching staff will be February 10th.
·         Principals and front office staff will be February 12th.

Each day we will begin at 9 a.m. and an email will get sent once each batch migration is completed. If there are any questions or concerns, please let me know. All techs will be out onsite to address any issues.
